To be near You is to scar my knees
To be around You is to see things clearly
To sing to You is the thing I live for
Jesus I love You, I’m coming home
To love me like You always do
And die for me is a gift You give me
I’ll repay all the love You’ve shown to me
So my life I give to You
Let go
Seeking You since the day I was born again
Seeing Your face in everything
You set my feet on the rock again
Quiet my soul from them
Jesus I love You
You set me free
You’re all I want
You’re all I need
You’ve provided for free
I pray that they would see clearly
And give up this world for thee
ZION SING
Let go
Bless Your children Father
Bless us
Bless me
Although I deserve death
It has no sting for me
Has no sting for me

This is a remaster and reissue of the first album by horror metal band Dark Night. This music has the sound and style of classic albums such as Don't Break the Oath and The Fatal Portrait. Those who are familiar with classic Mercyful Fate and King Diamond will know what I'm talking about. Creeptastic vocals and classic metal vibes are in abundance here. Keep in mind that Dark Night is a Christian band. Lyrically speaking, the band takes classic tropes from horror literature and films, as well as lyrical tropes often found in secular metal, and turns them on their heads to show good in triumph over evil. It's really quite brilliant. Really great stuff! Thanks to VOGr for finally making this officially available to those of us residing outside of the band's native country. Matthew Smith
The great NYC black metal group Dawnbreaker returns with another harrowing LP, where brutal riffs are trailed by eerie synths. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 23, 2022
